It’s now autumn, and after a great summer of sun and vigorous plant growth, it’s a time to adjust to the new season. There is still some colour on show to enjoy, as plants put on their final display of flowers before cooler weather comes. It’s harvest time for fruits and vegetables for those who grow their own. The autumn sunshine is softer than during our blazing hot summer of 2018. Many trees and plants are now laden with berries ready for the coming winter.
