Urban Garden Wimbledon

Client Brief

This client was looking to put their property on the market for sale. With the inside finished it was the garden's turn for transformation!
The garden had been untouched for several years and was completely overgrown and wild.
The client needed the garden to be presentable and welcoming to prospective purchasers, with a clean, tidy and uncomplicated look, but on a limited budget.

Design & Solution

The garden initially needed to be cleared of all unwanted growth and debris and taken back to earth level to see its actual size. Everything was removed apart from the Forsythia, Hebe and Buddleia, which were pruned and shaped to give some form. The central tree was kept, its canopy raised and its crown shaped, to provide a focal point in the garden.

The whole area was rotivated and the soil enriched with Rolawn soil improver. A lawn area was delineated and the beds prepared for planting up by the new owner. Rolawn Medallion turf was laid giving an instant green carpet. The patio area was cleared and weeded, finishing the overhaul.

The finished garden delivered the brief in that it immediately increased the value of the property, looked tidy and attractive and would appeal to a range of potential purchasers.
