Urban Garden Streatham

Client Brief

This garden had been left unmaintained for a number of months with knee high grass and overgrown shrubs. The client wanted to claim back there garden from the wild and be able to use and enjoy it again. A lawn area was wanted for the children to play on and easy access down the garden to the shed.

Design & Solution

A simple rectangle layout was created for the new lawn to maximise the space and ease of maintenance. The garden consisted of a number of existing shrubs which had become overgrown and out of shape. These were pruned and shaped back to there natural form giving structure to the garden.

The two side beds were weeded and cleared along with rear bed which was cleared and opened up to provide easy access to the shed. The old lawn was removed, the area rotivated and the new lawn area was marked out. Rolawn Turf Topsoil was laid and new Rolawn Medallion Turf was laid providing an instant new lush green lawn.

Bark chippings were laid to both side beds and rear bed providing a mulch and decorative finish setting off the shrubs.
