Planting Plans

A planting plan acts as a visual presentation of the plant layout of your future garden, clearly showing your chosen plants combined within a detailed plan. The plan shows the total numbers of plants, their individual sizes, and exact positioning in relation to each other and the given space. The plan will also include a hand-sketched elevation drawing of a section of the garden, showing how the garden will look when fully planted up. A number of plant images from your plant list will be included on the plan, helping to build an overall picture of the garden style, theme and mood.

Once the plant list is agreed the plan is drawn up, with consideration given to plant harmony and contrasts, simplicity and repetition, creating a sense of unity, balance and rhythm to the planting. Bold structural forms and varying plant textures can provide year-round interest, with the use of focal points to catch the eye.

Once we've presented you with the plan, you can then plant the garden yourself, or take up our premium planting service to prepare, source, deliver and plant up your plan.
